In Queens, New York, a fatal crash on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk has led to manslaughter charges against a dirt bike rider who allegedly left the scene of the accident that killed his passenger. The collision occurred near Beach 47th Street on August 29, 2022, at approximately 3 p.m.
The accused, Raytawon Wright, was operating his Qipai Hunier dirt bike when he reportedly lost control and struck a bench. Following the crash, authorities report that Wright fled the scene, abandoning his vehicle and leaving Molina deceased on the boardwalk. A resident of Brooklyn with no previous arrests, 26-year-old Wright was eventually arrested on a warrant.
Wright appeared before Queens Criminal Court, charged with manslaughter, assault, leaving the scene of an accident, filing a false report, reckless driving, and driving without a license. He has entered a plea of not guilty and is being held on $25,000 bail.
