Sunrise Highway (Route 27)

Sunrise Highway starts in eastern Queens, parallel to the Long Island Railroad. It then heads into Nassau County through Valley Stream, Lynbrook, and Rockville Center. The route then enters Merrick, where it connects with Meadowbrook State Parkway. Sunrise Highway later crosses County Route 16 in Brookhaven along with CR 46 in Shirley before crossing over Shinnecock Canal and offering one last eastbound exit before finally merging with CR 39.

The route finally ends at an intersection with Montauk Highway. Riders who head out on Sunrise Highway can plan to take in the heart of Long Island along with panoramic vistas and a range of memorable landscapes.

Route 114

For motorcyclists in search of a challenge, Route 114 provides a range of twists and turns through Long Island’s eastern parts.

The route spans nearly 16 miles from where it starts at NY 27 in East Hampton up to its completion at NY 25 in Greenport. The route serves as the primary link between the North and South Forks east of Riverhead.

From Sag Harbor streets drenched in colonial and maritime history to rural routes along large estates and the woods, Route 114 provides a glimpse into both Long Island’s rich heritage and natural beauty.

Route 106

Running the length of Nassau County along Route 106, a north-south artery that offers a range of scenery from suburban neighborhoods to nature reserves. Route 106 starts on Newbridge Road at Jerusalem Avenue, south of the Southern Parkway.

The route then runs to Hicksville, where it is multiplexed with NY 107 as Broadway. Route 106 interchanges with the Northern Parkway, the Long Island Expressway (I-495), and the Jericho Turnpike (NY 25).

Shortly north of Jericho Turnpike, NY 106, and NY 107 split then NY 016 continues to the northeast as Jericho-Oyster Bay Road, a four-lane road. Route 106 ends in Oyster Bay.

Route 27 to Montauk Point State Park
