QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A serious car accident occurred on the Belt Parkway last Wednesday morning when a gray Honda abruptly cut off another driver, Ashpia Natasha. The incident was captured on Natasha’s vehicle dashcam.
Initial footage shows the Honda unexpectedly reversing into Natasha’s car while she was on a call with her husband. In the video, she can be heard exclaiming, “Oh my God! What is he doing? Babe! Oh my God, I got into an accident. I got into an accident.”
However, as the situation unfolded, Natasha feared it might have been more than just a mere accident; she began to suspect that the collision was staged for the purpose of insurance fraud. The first indication of wrongdoing was the behavior of those inside the Honda, who were seen momentarily covering the back window before the driver exited from the passenger side. Another individual was observed leaving the vehicle and entering a waiting maroon car that sped away shortly thereafter.
Following the crash, Natasha exchanged information with the driver who remained at the scene. Interestingly, law enforcement did not respond to the incident, as is common practice for fender-benders that do not involve significant injuries. Despite lacking serious injuries, the damage to Natasha’s vehicle was substantial, estimated at nearly $8,000. Fortunately, her insurance will cover the costs incurred from the accident.
