New York Man Allegedly Orchestrated Belt Parkway Car Crash Caught on Camera

Car accident in Queens

A suspected insurance fraud scheme unfolded in Queens, New York, involving a staged car accident on the Belt Parkway. According to reports, a silver Honda attempted to stage a collision by abruptly cutting off another vehicle and slamming on their brakes. The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes towards the Southern State Parkway.

The driver of the silver Honda, identified by its license plate number, LBB 8917, cut into the left lane and abruptly came to a complete stop, seemingly hoping to provoke a rear-end collision. The other driver managed to avoid the crash, prompting the Honda’s driver to reverse into the vehicle, creating an impact and subsequently claiming injury upon exiting the car.

Witnesses noted that the Honda was equipped with a tarp covering its rear windshield, which dislodged upon impact. Surveillance footage purportedly shows the male driver, wearing a hat, shifting from the driver’s seat to the passenger side before the occupants exited the vehicle. The first three passengers exited the Honda feigning injury, while the fourth passenger, believed to be the driver, quickly exited through the passenger door and entered a waiting red KIA SUV, identified by its license plate KJH 3340.
