Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY – A three-car accident occurred early Wednesday morning at the intersection of 61-25 170th St, resulting in one individual sustaining neck and back injuries. The New York Police Department (NYPD) reported the incident took place around 8:09 a.m.
Emergency services responded to a 911 call reporting the collision. Upon their arrival, officers discovered significant damage to one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Paramedics promptly assessed the situation and transported the injured party, who was experiencing neck and back pain, to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
Firefighters also arrived at the scene to assist with the extraction of those trapped inside the damaged vehicles. Traffic in the area was severely affected as authorities worked to clear the scene and restore normal operations. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported as a result of this incident.
The NYPD has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, utilizing traffic cameras and witness statements to piece together the events leading up to the accident. As first responders continued their work, the police urged motorists to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
