The elderly victim, whose identity is being withheld until familial notifications can be made, met a tragic fate near South Main Street. The accident occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. when an eastbound 2018 Honda Accord struck the woman. Moments later, she was hit by a 2020 Dodge Durango traveling south on Main Street.
Suffering from critical injuries as a result of the impact, the pedestrian was quickly transported to a local hospital. Despite medical intervention, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
