In a tragic incident on Long Island, a seven-year-old boy lost his life as a result of a drowning accident that occurred at an East Meadow residence on the afternoon of July 4th.
Nassau County Police were dispatched to a home located on 2nd Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. following an emergency call about a child who was discovered unconscious in a swimming pool. Upon arrival, authorities found that the boy had been removed from the water and that CPR was being administered in an effort to revive him.
The young boy was subsequently transported to a local hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite the efforts of healthcare professionals, he was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician.
The boy’s name has not been released to the public at this time. Nassabis County Police are currently conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
