QUEENS, NEW YORK – A tragic accident occurred in Astoria, Queens, on Tuesday night, resulting in the death of a 36-year-old woman. The incident happened at around 11:05 p.m. at the intersection of 37th Street and 34th Avenue when the woman, riding her bicycle, was struck by a pickup truck.
The severity of the collision caused her to be thrown beneath the vehicle. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the site, and the injured cyclist was transported to Elmhurst Hospital while in critical condition. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival at the hospital. Authorities have commenced a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
