A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred early Tuesday morning in Flushing, Queens, resulting in the death of a 56-year-old man. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Kissena Boulevard and the Horace Harding Expressway.
According to New York City officials, the collision involved a Honda Accord and a U-Haul truck. The impact from the collision was so severe that it caused one of the vehicles to strike a pedestrian who was crossing the road at the time.
Emergency medical services were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist the injured pedestrian. Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The New York Police Department has initiated a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
